Guts is a Finnish death metal force straight from Turku, formed in 2020. The band delivers a powerful dose of old-school death metal with heavy, groovy riffs, deep vocals, and a crushing rhythm section. They draw inspiration from classics like Six Feet Under and Torture Killer but add their own dark twist. Their discography includes two albums and several singles. Guts is a band for those who love brutality and groove in the good old style but are looking for freshness and energy from the Finnish scene.
For some time now I have had the pleasure of experiencing Nightmare Fuel, the latest album by the Finnish band Guts, released under Morbid Chapel Records. From the very first sounds, it is clear that this is a brutal yet groovy journey deep into old-school death metal. The band from Turku consistently develops their distinctive style – raw but precise riffs, crushing vocals, and a powerful rhythm section create an atmosphere thick with darkness and energy. Nightmare Fuel is not only aggression but also a noticeable depth – each track tells its own story, balancing brutality with catchiness. The production is balanced, allowing appreciation of both technical details and the raw, untamed power of Guts’ music. This album is a true must-have for death metal fans who value both tradition and fresh sounds. I highly recommend checking out this release.

Guts to fiński deathmetalowy walec prosto z Turku, powstały w 2020 roku. Zespół serwuje potężną dawkę old-schoolowego death metalu z ciężkimi, groove’owymi riffami, głębokim wokalem i miażdżącą sekcją rytmiczną. Inspiracje czerpią z klasyków jak Six Feet Under czy Torture Killer, ale dodają własny, mroczny sznyt. W dyskografii znajdziemy dwa albumy i kilka singli. Guts to zespół dla tych, którzy kochają brutalność i groove w starym, dobrym stylu, ale szukają świeżości i energii z fińskiej sceny.
Od jakiegoś czasu mam przyjemność obcować z „Nightmare Fuel”, najnowszym albumem fińskiego zespołu Guts, który ukazał się pod szyldem Morbid Chapel Records. Już od pierwszych dźwięków czuć, że to brutalna, a zarazem pełna groove’u podróż w głąb old-schoolowego death metalu. Zespół z Turku konsekwentnie rozwija swój charakterystyczny styl – surowe, ale precyzyjne riffy, niszczący wokal i potężna sekcja rytmiczna tworzą atmosferę gęstą od mroku i energii. „Nightmare Fuel” to nie tylko agresja, ale i wyczuwalna głębia – każdy utwór opowiada swoją historię, balansując między brutalnością a chwytliwością. Produkcja jest wyważona, co pozwala docenić zarówno techniczne detale, jak i surową, nieokiełznaną siłę muzyki Guts.
