HATE THEM ALL, is a black metal band from Zabrze, which debuted in 2010 and at the moment is already quite a recognizable horde in the metal underground. Quite recently they released their third album, which was spit out by their native label, Old Temple. Beyond that, their discography includes numerous splits and demo material. What I had with their previous releases was that a couple of numbers struck my liking, but there wasn’t much left of them, if only enough to keep me coming back to those recordings. Let’s see how things are with the latest material, about which you’ll find a bit more in the text below.
After listening to this album, I get the impression that it sounds much better than the previous ones, but did it come out well enough to make the material somehow memorable? I don’t think so. It seems to be aggressive, there’s no shortage of fast tempos, you can generally hear that the guys don’t fuck around, but somehow somewhere it’s missing that kick that would set the band above the rest of similar bands from the black metal scene. The album features twelve tracks, with a total duration of nearly thirty-two minutes. The compositions are quite outlandish and simple black metal. The lyrics of the songs are written in Polish and in English, and I get the impression that the ones shouted in the native language sound better. The guitar riffs sound harsh, falling into a thrash metal sound, which gives them a primitive aggression, which is an advantage by all means. However, when slowing down, it is weaker, even boring. The bass guitar is perfectly audible, harmonizing well with the distorted electric guitar. As for the drums, I get the impression that they’re a bit too far behind and could be louder (would be able to catch all the neat transitions on toms). No fanfares, just material like many.

HATE THEM ALL, to black metalowy zespół z Zabrza, który zadebiutował w 2010 roku i w tej chwili jest już dość mocno rozpoznawalną hordą w metalowym podziemiu. Całkiem niedawno ukazał się ich trzeci album, który wypluła na światło dzienne rodzima wytwórnia – Old Temple. Po za tym w ich dyskografii znajdziemy liczne splity i materiały demo. Z poprzednimi wydawnictwami miałem tak, że parę numerów uderzyło w mój gust, ale nie zostało po nich za wiele, choćby na tyle, by móc wracać do tych nagrań. Zobaczmy jak się sprawy mają z najnowszym materiałem, o którym nieco więcej znajdziecie w poniższym tekście.
Po przesłuchaniu tego albumu odnoszę wrażenie, że brzmi znacznie lepiej niż poprzednie, ale czy wyszło na tyle dobrze by materiał został jakoś w pamięci? Nie wydaje mi się, by tak było. Niby jest agresywnie, nie zabrakło szybkich temp, ogólnie słychać, że chłopaki się w tańcu nie pierdolą, a gdzieś jakby brakuje tego kopa, który wybiłby zespół ponad całą resztę podobnych kapel z black metalowej sceny. Na krążku znajdziemy dwanaście utworów, o łącznym czasie trwania wynoszącym blisko trzydzieści dwie minuty. Kompozycje to dość obskurny i prosty black metal. Teksty utworów są napisane w języku polskim oraz w angielskim. Odnoszę wrażenie, że lepiej brzmią te wykrzyczane w ojczystym języku. Więc może warto byłoby pójść tą ścieżką i nie kombinować z angielskim. Riffy gitar brzmią ostro, wpadają w thrash metalowe brzmienie, co nadaje im prymitywnej agresji, co jak najbardziej jest zaletą. Jednak przy zwolnieniach jest słabiej. Gitara basowa doskonale słyszalna, dobrze współgra z przesterowaną gitarą elektryczną. Co do perkusji, to odnoszę wrażenie, że jest trochę za bardzo w tyle i mogłaby być głośniejsza (dałoby radę wychwycić wszystkie niezłe przejścia na bębnach). Bez fajerwerków, ot, materiał jakich wiele.
