Black Metal, Szwecja. Tak oto zaczniemy ową recenzję, stawiając od razu kluczowe słowa na pierwszym miejscu. Krążek wleciał w łapska i przyznaję, że lubię powrócić do jego zawartości. Zero w tym odkrywczości, żadnych absolutnie znamion wyjątkowości. Co jednak najważniejsze to fakt, że materiał wchodzi piekielnie dobrze! Panowie zaczynali w 2012 roku i początkowo było to połączenie Black / Thrash Metalu. Z czasem jednak elementy Thrashu zostały porzucone i BLOOD OF SERPENTS obraca się w stylistyce Black Metalowej. Chociaż i tutaj miałbym pewne wątpliwości, albowiem niektóre aranże utworów zalatują jak nic Blackened Death Metalem. W każdym bądź razie „Sulphur Sovereign” jest ich drugiem albumem i to o nim kilka słów sobie powiemy.

Mamy tutaj 10 utworów, które składają się na niemal 50 minut muzyki. Muzyki, która to można nazwać i Black Metalem bądź Blackened Death Metalem. W przypadku BLOOD OF SERPENTS różnica ta jest tak nikła, że można się ewentualnie wdać w takową dysputę bez większych argumentów za czy przeciw. Jedno jest pewne, intensywność tego albumu robi wrażenie. W szczególności partie perkusji za które odpowiadał Christoffer Andersson. Prędkość operowania pałeczkami na całym zestawie garów jest imponująca, a sam wspomniany jegomość urozmaicił aranże do granic możliwości. Znajdziemy tu wiele akcentów na blachach. Przejścia na tomach to cholerny majstersztyk. Można na to nie zwracać uwagi i przyjąć na klatę całość jako niezły wpierdol, tyle tylko, że pominiemy świetne patenty i jakże masywną pracę Christoffera. Riffy są nastawione na bardzo rozwiniętą linię melodyczną. Ich układ często się rozwarstwia na dwie ścieżki, gdzie jedna z gitar tworzy tło, a druga wybija się melodią tremolo. Jednak nie jest to reguła i obie gitary grają jednocześnie to samo. Przyznać muszę, że słychać tu trochę echa Marduka, który wpadł w kolaż z Death Metalową artylerią. Wściekłość, nienawiść, amok i totalna furiacka psychoza. Wszystko to podane w polewce bluźnierstwa i kultu śmierci. Aaarrrggghhhh!!!

Szczerze powiedziawszy, patrząc na obraz zdobiący front tego albumu, nic nie zapowiada tornada śmierci z jakim słuchacz się zetknie. Album kosi i spuszcza absolutne baty! Rżnięcie i mord umysłu na najwyższych obrotach! Szukać i kupować!

Black Metal, Sweden. This is how we will start this review, putting the key words right away. The disc flew into my paws and I admit that I enjoy revisiting its contents. Zero revelation in it, absolutely no signs of uniqueness. What is nevertheless most important is that the material goes in a hell of a lot! The gentlemen started in 2012 and initially it was a combination of Black / Thrash Metal. Nevertheless, over time, the Thrash elements were abandoned and BLOOD OF SERPENTS revolves around the Black Metal style. Although even here I would have some doubts, because some arrangements of songs reek of Blackened Death Metal like nothing. Anyway, „Sulphur Sovereign” is their second album, and we’ll say a few words about it.

Here we have 10 tracks, which make up almost 50 minutes of music. Music that can be called and Black Metal or Blackened Death Metal. In the case of BLOOD OF SERPENTS, the difference is so slight that one can possibly get into such a dispute without much argument for or against. One thing is certain, the intensity of this album is impressive. In particular, the drum parts for which Christoffer Andersson was responsible. The speed of operating the sticks on the entire set of drums is impressive, and the aforementioned gentleman himself has varied the arrangements to the limit. You’ll find plenty of accents on the cymbals. The transitions on the toms are a bloody masterpiece. You can disregard it and accept the whole thing as a good pounding, only that you will overlook the great pattens and how massive Christoffer’s work is. The riffs are set to a very developed melodic line. Their arrangement is often stratified into two tracks, where one of the guitars forms the background and the other strikes out with a tremolo melody. Nevertheless, this is not the rule and both guitars play the same thing at the same time. I have to admit that you can hear some echoes of Marduk, which fell into a collage with Death Metal artillery. Rage, hatred, amok and total furious psychosis. All served in a coating of blasphemy and death worship. Aaarrrggghhh!!!

To be honest, looking at the image adorning the front of this album, nothing foreshadows the tornado of death the listener will encounter. The album scythes and unleashes an absolute beating! Ripping and slaughtering of the mind at top speed! Look for it and buy it!
