KINGDOM, to znana nie od dziś płocka formacja, powstała bowem w 2003 roku, a pierwszy ich materiał ukazał się w trzy lata później. Muzycy obrali sobie ścieżkę death metalu i od lat nieustępliwie nią kroczą, a KINGDOM nie jest jedynym dzieckiem. Udzielają się oni między innymi w takich zespołach jak: Riese, Ritual Liar, czy Erupted Evil. 'Abusive Worship in the Chamber of Shame’ to ich szósty album, a dyskografii znajdziemy też splity, EP i materiał demo.

Chociaż znam twórczość KINGDOM, to już na początku muszę przyznać, że ‘Abusive Worship in the Chamber of Shame’ sponiewierał mnie jak ochłap surowego mięsa wrzucony na przemiał do maszynki. Szybkie tempa zapewniają solidny wpierdol, który na długo pozostanie w pamięci. Muzyka czerpie mocno z wczesnych lat dziewięćdziesiątych i w jej brzmieniu przebijają się duchy takich kapel jak MORBID ANGEL czy DEICIDE. Materia muzyczna na tym materiale jest bardzo gęsta i dusząca, wypełniona gryzącym dymem. Tu nie ma miejsca na słabość i litość. Ta muzyka nie bierze jeńców, ona zostawia tylko ofiary. Chociaż z drugiej strony, na krótką chwilę gitary przybierają delikatniejszą formę, poruszając się na czystym kanale, jednak dźwięki, które wydobywają struny są niesamowicie lodowate. To, co mnie cieszy w tym dziele, to ta diabelskość, obecna na każdym kroku. Po za tym, słychać, że bardzo się przyłożono do tego albumu. Produkcja jest tak dobra, że dźwięki instrumentów nie zagłuszają się, dzięki czemu można wyłapać najdrobniejsze szczegóły. Riffy gitar są zabójczo szybkie i ciężkie, niczym stalowy oręż, wykuty w piekielnym ogniu. Momentami pojawiają się też chore solówki, zagrane z chirurgiczną precyzją. Oczywiście nie brakuje też wolniejszego uderzania w struny, które nabiera jeszcze większego ciężaru. Gitara basowa brzmi, jak trzask łamanych kości pod naciskiem gąsienic pancernej machiny. Perkusja jest jak wezwanie do wojny. Totalny wkurw wybijany w szybkimi tempami w bębny nie pozwala by muzyka szybko uleciała z pamięci. Wokale perfekcyjnie powalają grobowym growlingiem, niesamowicie chropowatym i nasączonym złem wraz z prymitywną agresją. Tej płyty nie da się nie polecić, ją trzeba po prostu zdobyć.

KINGDOM, is a well-known Plock band that has been around for a long time, having been founded in 2003, and their first material was released three years later. The musicians have taken the path of death metal and have followed it relentlessly for years, and KINGDOM is not their only child. They have contributed to such bands as Riese, Ritual Liar or Erupted Evil, among others. 'Abusive Worship in the Chamber of Shame’ is their sixth album, and the discography also includes splits, an EP and demo material.

Although I’m familiar with KINGDOM’s work, I have to admit at the outset that 'Abusive Worship in the Chamber of Shame’ pummeled me like a lump of raw meat thrown into the grinder for milling. The fast tempos provide a solid pounding that will linger in the memory for a long time. The music draws heavily from the early nineties and the ghosts of bands like MORBID ANGEL and DEICIDE shine through in its sound. The musical matter on this material is very dense and suffocating, filled with biting smoke. There is no room for weakness or pity here. This music takes no prisoners, it leaves only victims. Although, on the other hand, for a brief moment, the guitars take a softer form, moving on a clean channel, nevertheless, the sounds that the strings produce are incredibly icy. What pleases me about this work is this devilishness, present at every turn. Beyond that, you can hear that a great deal of care went into this album. The production is so good that the sounds of the instruments don’t drown each other out, so you can catch the finest details. The guitar riffs are deadly fast and heavy, like a steel weapon forged in hellfire. At times there are also sick solos, played with surgical precision. Of course, there’s also the slower strumming of the strings, which gets even heavier. The bass guitar sounds like the crackle of broken bones under the pressure of the caterpillars of an armored machine. The drums are like a call to war. The total pounding hammered out in fast tempos in the drums doesn’t allow the music to quickly escape from memory. The vocals perfectly knock down the sepulchral growling, incredibly harsh and soaked in evil along with primitive aggression. This album is impossible not to recommend, you simply have to get it.
