Ponownie sięgamy do czeluści Grecji. I kolejny raz wydawcą jest również Iron Bonehead Productions. Po sześciu latach od debiutu powstał wreszcie następca jakże wspaniałego materiału jakim był „Πανσέληνος”. Osobiście uważam, że EMPIRE OF THE MOON to właśnie wyznacznik jakości nad ilością. Czemu? Ano temu, że początki hordy datują się na 1996 roku i mają na swoim koncie raptem trzy materiały. Oczywiście, można tu mówić o powolnym tempie działania lub innych czynnikach. Prawda jest jednak dla mnie taka, że R.W.Draconium i spółka tworzą niesamowicie świetną muzykę. Black Metal głęboko zakorzeniony w stylistyce ich sceny i jednocześnie ciężko, świadomie kroczący ścieżką magii i spiritualizmu.
Drugie ofiarowanie EMPIRE OF THE MOON jest istną strawą dla duszy. Ta muzyka przepełnia eter, sączy się a zarazem gwałtownie wnika w słuchacza. Jest w tym jakaś skryta siła, hipnotyzująca i wielce potężna. Odniosłem wrażenie, że pomimo, iż na drugim albumie nie ma aż tylu podniosłych fragmentów w porównaniu do jedynki, to ta muzyka niesie mnie swoim kunsztem, własną wręcz poezją. „Eclipse” można spokojnie stwierdzić, że w 90%, o ile nie więcej, bazuje na melodyce riffów gitar. Wokół tego elementu narastają wszystkie pozostałe linie aranżacyjne, dodatki w postaci klawiszy i chórków czy samej linii rytmicznej. Praca gitar stwarza właśnie podwaliny, pewien fundament pod wykreowanie jeszcze większej antycznej aury mitycznej Grecji. Znajdziemy tu z pewnością mistycyzm wymieszany z mrocznym romantyzmem, magię, która uniesie nas na wyżyny duchowego jestestwa. Tytułowe 'zaćmienie’, tajemniczość zjawiska zachodzącego na firmamencie nieba, jest wręcz namacalna w każdym z utworów. Przejawia się w atmosferze enigmatyczności, która przechodzi w naturalny sposób w metafizyczność dźwięków. Ciężko to wyrazić w słowach, ale ten album jest po prostu doskonały. A przynajmniej bliski doskonałości. Każdy jego element odgrywa odpowiednią rolę by tak właśnie było. Melodyka gitar łączona z rzadszymi rytmicznymi partiami, fantastyczne wokale (skrzeki, krzyki, melodeklamacje, chóry) i perkusja z basem, których aranżacje są oszałamiająco dobre. Słuchanie takich materiałów to wręcz zaszczyt.

Once again we reach into the depths of Greece. And once again the label is Iron Bonehead Productions. After six years since the debut, a successor to the magnificent material that was „Πανσέληνος” has finally emerged. Personally, I think EMPIRE OF THE MOON is the very benchmark of quality over quantity. Why? Well, because the origins of the horde date back to 1996 and they have only three materials to their credit. Of course, one can talk about the slow pace of activity or other factors. Nevertheless, the truth for me is that R.W.Draconium and company make incredibly great music. Black Metal deeply rooted in the style of their scene and at the same time hard, consciously walking the path of magic and spiritualism.
EMPIRE OF THE MOON’s second offering is veritable food for the soul. This music overflows the ether, oozing and at the same time violently penetrating the listener. There is some kind of unseen power in it, mesmerizing and very powerful. I got the impression that despite the fact that there are not as many solemn passages on the second album compared to the first, this music carries me away with its artistry, its own almost poetry. „Eclipse” can safely be said to be 90%, if not more, based on the melody of guitar riffs. Around this element grow all the other arrangement lines, additions in the form of keyboards and choruses or the rhythm line itself. The work of the guitars just creates a foundation, a certain foundation for creating even more of the ancient aura of mythical Greece. Here we will certainly find mysticism mixed with dark romanticism, magic that will lift us to the heights of spiritual being. The 'eclipse’ of the title, the mysteriousness of the phenomenon occurring in the firmament of the sky, is even palpable in each of the pieces. It manifests itself in an atmosphere of enigmaticness, which passes naturally into metaphysical sounds. It’s hard to put into words, but this album is simply perfect. Or at least close to perfection. Every element of it plays an appropriate role to make it so. Melodic guitars combined with rarer rhythmic parts, fantastic vocals (screeches, screams, melodeclamations, choruses) and drums with bass, whose arrangements are stunningly good. Listening to such material is even a privilege.
