’Чертоги звёздного сияния (The Halls of Starshining)’ to w zasadzie żadna nowość, ponieważ materiał ten ukazał się w 2009 roku pod skrzydłami Werewolf Promotion na taśmie oraz jako CD-r. Tym razem wytwórnia wznowiła ten tytuł na profesjonalnie wytłoczonym CD. Jeśli chodzi o zespół to niestety przestał już istnieć, a jego twórczość ograniczyła się jedynie do tego materiału demo. Zatem nie przeciągając przejdźmy do poniższej recenzji.
’The Halls Of Starshining’ to tegoroczne wznowienie materiału z 2009 roku, na które złożyło się cztery utwory (w tym jeden instrumentalny) o łącznym czasie trwania wynoszącym niemal dwadzieścia pięć minut. Chociaż tytuły utworów zapisane są w języku angielskim, to tekst występuje w rodzimym języku ukraińskim. Przyznam, że dla mnie to taki trudny do przyjęcia zabieg. Skoro już ułatwiono odbiorcom przeczytanie tytułu, to można by też zrobić wersję z tekstami w języku angielskim. Może i włączyło mi się jakieś marudzenie odnośnie tych drobnych szczegółów, jednak co do muzyki, to nie ma tu miejsca na żadne minusy, bo kompozycje są świetnie wykonane. Czuć w nich pogańskiego ducha, a i dzięki akustycznym instrumentom i gitarze na czystym kanale, kreuje się ciekawa atmosfera i momentami wyraźny klimat łączący folklor z ciężkim brzmieniem. W kompozycjach nie brakuje melancholijnych brzmień, jakby wielkiej tęsknoty za czymś co już nie wróci. Gitary dość często poruszają się riffami w sekcji tremolo, ale do tego akordy bez efektu overdrive nadają ciekawego ciepła tej muzyce. Dźwiękami snuje opowieść, i przyznam, że równie dobrze bez wokalu by się dało to pochłonąć, ale wokal jest tu kluczowym elementem nadającym dzikości i mroku dla tego materiału. Wykrzykuje teksty z lekko chropowatym brzmieniem. Nie jest to jakiś typowy skrzek, kojarzący się z black metalową sceną, bo i muzyka prezentuje nieco inne wartości, bliższe pogańskiemu metalowi. Na końcu warto wspomnieć też o perkusji, która również nie przedstawia się w scenerii typowej dla black metalu i nie jest uproszczonym instrumentem ograniczonym do zwyczajnego klepania w bębny w jednym tempie. Mamy tu bardzo ciekawa aranżacje w różnych prędkościach, dzięki czemu muzyka jest wielowymiarowa. Mnie zaskoczyło granie w wolnych tempach, które pasowało mi do muzyki rockowej, a te nagłe zmiany i przejście do szybszych grań to jakiś obłęd, którego się nie spodziewałem. Trzeba przyznać, że to demo zaskakuje swoimi kompozycjami, więc polecam Wam przesłuchać, jeśli jeszcze nie znacie.

’Чертоги звёздного сия (The Halls of Starshining)’ is actually no new thing, as this material was released in 2009 under the wings of Werewolf Promotion on tape and as a CD-r. This time the label has reissued the title on a professionally pressed CD. As for the band, it has unfortunately ceased to exist, and its output has been limited only to this demo material. So without dragging, let’s move on to the following review.
’The Halls Of Starshining’ is this year’s reissue of material from 2009, consisting of four tracks (including one instrumental) with a total duration of almost twenty-five minutes. Although the song titles are written in English, the lyrics appear in the native Ukrainian language. I’ll admit that for me this is such a difficult procedure to adopt. Since it has been made easier for the audience to read the title, it would be possible to make a version with lyrics in English as well. I may have turned on some whining about these minor details, but as for the music, nevertheless, there is no room for any downside, as the compositions are brilliantly crafted. You can feel the pagan spirit in them, and also thanks to the acoustic instruments and the guitar on the clean channel, an interesting atmosphere is created and at times a clear atmosphere combining folklore with a heavy sound. In the compositions there is no shortage of melancholy sounds, as if a great longing for something that will no longer return. The guitars quite often move with riffs in the tremolo section, but on top of that chords without overdrive effect give an interesting warmth to this music. The sounds weave a tale, and I’ll admit that it would be just as easy to absorb without the vocals, but the vocals are the key element here giving a wildness and darkness to this material. It shouts out the lyrics with a slightly harsh sound. It’s not some typical screeching associated with the black metal scene, as the music also presents slightly different values, closer to pagan metal. Finally, it’s also worth mentioning the drums, which also do not present themselves in a setting typical of black metal, and are not a simplistic instrument limited to simply slapping the drums at a single tempo. Here we have very interesting arrangements at different speeds, making the music multidimensional. I was surprised by the playing in slow tempos, which suited me to rock music, and these sudden changes and transition to faster playing is some madness I didn’t expect. It must be said that this demo surprises with its compositions, so I recommend you to listen to it if you don’t already know.
