Duet ten pochodzi z Santaigo, Chile, i wymiata całkiem sprawny Death Metal. „The Art of Resilience” to drugie wydawnictwo, zaraz po otwierającym ich dyskografię singlu. Teraz wystarczy nam poczekać na pełen album.
Epka ta to sześć utworów z czego dwa to intro i interludium. Całość zamyka się w niespełna dwudziestu pięciu minutach i przyznaję, jest tu czego posłuchać. Chilijczycy uwzięli się na staro szkolny Death Metal, a że wychodzi im to całkiem sprawnie, tym bardziej morda mi się zaciesza. Zacznijmy od brzmienia, które może nieco klaustrofobiczne i ściśnięte, przemawia na rzecz dynamiki „The Art of Resilience”. Całkiem dobrze został schowany w finalnym miksie automat perkusyjny i gdyby tej informacji nie zamieszczono, to chyba niejeden z nas by nawet tego nie wychwycił. Wracając do brzmienia, to właśnie gitary solowe nadają tu oddechu, przestrzeni, a z drugiej strony ta nie jest tu konieczna. Całość, to zestawienie duchoty i wyłomu solówek, stanowią ciekawy kontrast i słucha się tego nader dobrze. Trzeba sobie też jasno powiedzieć, RESILIENT to Death Metal z drugiej ligi dla prawdziwych wyznawców stęchlizny i padliny, albowiem nikt tutaj nie odkrywa nowych terenów tejże stylistyki. Zespół sprawnie porusza się po wydeptanych latami ścieżkach, nie wychylając się poza sztywne ramy starej szkoły. W powietrzu unosi się atmosfera horroru, ciemności i jak dla mnie wszystkie warunki na udany kawał muzyki zostały spełnione. Proste riffy z świetnymi liniami basu, trochę motoryki starego Thrash Metalu i monotonne growle o morderczej barwie. Nic nowego, a cieszy za każdym razem. Sprawdźcie Chilijczyków, bo warto.

The duo hails from Santaigo, Chile, and throws up some pretty skilled Death Metal. „The Art of Resilience” is their second release, right after the opening single of their discography. Now all we have to do is wait for the full album.
This EP is six tracks of which two are intro and interlude. The whole closes in less than twenty five minutes and I admit, there is a lot to listen to. Chileans blast old-school Death Metal, and since they do it quite efficiently, it makes me even more excited. Let’s start with the sound, which may be a bit claustrophobic and compressed, but it speaks for the dynamics of „The Art of Resilience”. The drum machine is quite well hidden in the final mix and if that information hadn’t been included, I don’t think many of us would have even noticed it. Coming back to the sound, it is the solo guitars that give breath, space, but on the other hand this one is not necessary here. The whole thing is a combination of the stuffiness and the breakthrough of the solos, it’s an interesting contrast and it’s very good to listen to. It has to be clearly stated that RESILIENT is Death Metal from the second league for the true believers of mustiness and carrion, because nobody here discovers new areas of this stylistics. The band moves smoothly along the paths trodden for years, not going beyond the rigid frames of the old style. There is an atmosphere of horror and darkness in the air and for me all the conditions for a successful piece of music are fulfilled. Simple riffs with great bass lines, a little bit of old Thrash Metal motorics and monotonous growls with a murderous tone. Nothing new, but enjoyable every time. Check Chileans, because it’s worth it.
