Respawn The Plague to death metalowy zespół z Aten, założony w 2005 roku. Styl gry zespołu jest niezwykle interesujący, podczas słuchania tej EPki zdecydowanie słychać wpływy Morbid Angel i Immolation. Epka jest pełna roztapiających mózg riffów, które sprawiają, że walisz głową w mur 24/7. Praca gitar jest niesamowita, riffy są tak chwytliwe, brutalne, a jednocześnie mają specyficzną melodię, która wbija się w umysł na wiele dni. Praca gitar przypomina mi bardzo albumy Morbid Angel – Covenant czy Domination. Wokale są agresywne, doskonale współgrają z perkusją, basem i gitarami. Perkusja jest znakomita – złożona, pełna blastów i centalek, a jednocześnie pozwala utworom oddychać w delikatny sposób, dzięki czemu gitary są dobrze słyszalne.

Dałbym tej epce 9/10, ponieważ powinni byli zrobić więcej utworów, a nie tylko 2 hahaha. Zdecydowanie nie mogę się doczekać, by usłyszeć więcej o tym zespole (tym bardziej, że od 2013 roku zapadła w ich obozie cisza). Epka została wydana przez Me Saco un Ojo Records na 7” winylu i przez Terror from Hell Records na limitowanej ilości kaset.

Respawn The Plague is a death metal band from Athens, Greece formed in 2005. The band’s style of playing is extremely interesting, while listening to this EP I could definitely hear Morbid Angel and Immolation influences. This ep is full of brain melting riffs that make you bang your head 24/7. The guitar work is amazing, the riffs are so catchy, brutal and at the same time they have a specific melody that sticks into your mind for days, they reminded me a lot of Morbid Angel – Covenant or Domination albums. The vocals are aggressive, working perfectly with the drumming, bass and guitars. The drum work is excelent – complex, full of blast beats and double basses, yet they let the songs breathe in a delicate manner, so the guitars can be heard .

I would give this ep a 9/10 because they should have done more songs instead of only 2 hahaha. I’m definitely looking forward hearing more about this band (especially since silence has fallen in their camp since 2013). This ep was released by Me Saco un Ojo Records on 7’’ vinyl and by Terror from Hell Records on a limited amount of cassettes.
