Co do wydawnictw Altare Productions nie spotkałem się jeszcze ze słabym wydawnictwem, a że jakiś czas temu wpadła mi w ręce EP NIGHT’S MAJESTY, która jest debiutanckim materiałem, to co dość regularnie ląduje na talerzu mojego gramofonu. NIGHT’S MAJESTY to zespół międzynarodowy, skupiający w swoich szeregach muzyków zarówno z greckiej sceny, jak i pochodzących z Bośni i Hercegowiny. Muzycy to bardzo płodni artyści, bo udzielają się w bardzo wielu projektach i zespołach – niektóre z nich już się przewinęły na naszych łamach. NIGHT’S MAJESTY to część Black Plague Circle, do którego przynależy kilka innych kapel, jak między innymi: CAVE RITUAL, OBSKURITATEM, SULPHURIC NIGHT i kilka innych. EP ukazała się w 2021 roku, tak więc to całkiem świeży materiał.
Powiedzieć, że Ceremonial Whispers to dobra muzyka, to swego rodzaju oksymoron, gdyż dźwięki jakie usłyszymy reprezentują zło w najczystszej postaci. Owszem produkcja jest na dobrym poziomie, kompozycje są perfekcyjne, a melodie są szorstkie i niezbyt przyjemne… i o to właśnie chodzi. Brzmienie pozbawione cukierkowych melodii chłoszcze prosto w twarz diabelskim batem. Na tym czarnym krążku znalazło się pięć utworów, których łączny czas trwania wynosi prawie dwadzieścia siedem minut. Jak na materiał EP to dość długo, ale z drugiej strony ta muzyka tak dobrze się wchłania, że nawet nie czuć upływającego czasu. Kurwa, przecież tego można słuchać na okrągło, a i tak będzie mało. Jad wylewa się hektolitrami od początku, do końca tej płyty. Muzyka jest grana szybko, chociaż zdarzają się też zwolnienia, to jednak w pamięci zapada ta wściekłość ukazana za pomocą szybkiego tempa. Riffy gitar wżerają się w umysł szybkim tremolo niczym pełzające robactwo pod skórą wywołując zimny dreszcz przebiegający wzdłuż kręgosłupa. Pojawia się również mocna sekcja rytmiczna, która uderza mocnymi akordami. Giatara basowa dodaje ciekawej dynamiki i świetnego klimatu opartego na niskich tonach, dzięki czemu robi się jeszcze mroczniej. Dźwięk bębnów jest jak wezwanie do wojny. To ona nakręca dziką, nieokiełznaną wściekłość. Uderzenia w bębny przypominają bicie serca, w które wstrzyknięto olbrzymią dawkę adrenaliny. Są i wolniejsze momenty, w których postawiono na klimat i też pięknie te bębny brzmią, jednak w pełnej prędkości jaką tu zastosowano otwiera się otchłań, z której wydobywa się chaos. Na końcu pozostaje wokal, który kusi mrokiem, jest to bardzo chropowaty, niski skrzek. Ocieka nienawiścią i agresją. Z drugiej strony potrafi przejść w formę czystą i co bardzo pozytywnie mnie zaskoczyło – jest to melodyjny śpiew, który zmierza w mistycznym kierunku. Ceremonial Whispers to płyta, którą trzeba mieć w kolekcji, więc koniecznie zapoznajcie się z tym materiałem.

As far as Altare Productions’ releases are concerned I have not yet encountered a weak one, and since some time ago I got my hands on NIGHT’S MAJESTY EP, which is the debut material, what quite regularly lands on the platter of my turntable. NIGHT’S MAJESTY is an international band, bringing together musicians from the Greek scene as well as from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The musicians are very prolific artists, as they participate in many projects and bands – some of them have already appeared in our pages. NIGHT’S MAJESTY is a part of Black Plague Circle, which includes several other bands such as: CAVE RITUAL, OBSKURITATEM, SULPHURIC NIGHT and several others. The EP was released in 2021, so it’s pretty fresh material.
To say that „Ceremonial Whispers” is good music is a kind of oxymoron, because the sounds we hear represent evil in its purest form. Yes, the production is on a good level, the compositions are perfect and the melodies are rough and not very pleasant… and that’s exactly the point. The sound devoid of sugary melodies flogs straight into the face with a devilish whip. There are five tracks on this black disc, whose total running time is almost twenty-seven minutes. As for the EP material it is quite long, but on the other hand this music is so well absorbed that you don’t even feel the passing time. Fuck, you can listen to this all the time and it still won’t be enough. Venom pours out in gallons from the beginning to the end of this album. The music is played fast, although there are some slowdowns, but the rage shown by the fast pace is still memorable. The guitar riffs eat into the mind with a fast tremolo like a crawling vermin under the skin causing a cold shiver to run down the spine. There is also a strong rhythm section that hits with powerful chords. The bass guitar adds interesting dynamics and a great atmosphere based on low tones, making it even darker. The sound of the drums is like a call to war. It incites a wild, unbridled ferocity. The drum beats resemble a heartbeat injected with a huge dose of adrenaline. There are also slower moments, in which the emphasis is on atmosphere and these drums also sound beautiful, but at full speed, which was used here, an abyss opens, from which chaos emerges. At the end there is a vocal which tempts with darkness, it is a very harsh, low screech. It oozes with hatred and aggression. On the other hand, it can pass into a pure form and what surprised me very positively – it is a melodic singing, which goes in a mystical direction. „Ceremonial Whispers” is an album you must have in your collection, so be sure to get familiar with this material.
