Mija nam dziewiąty rok milczenia od czasu nagrania debiutanckiego pełnego materiału Szwedów. Poprzedzająca 'Likblek’ demówka, już była zacnym kąskiem zapowiadającym konkretne Black Metalowe granie, a podpisanie papierów z rosyjską DWP tylko potwierdziło przypuszczenia. Debiut ukazał się rok po materiale demo i niestety od tego czasu zapadła cisza. Trudno. Z drugiej strony materiał, który nagrano jest na cholernie wysokim poziomie i na dobrą sprawę lepiej nawet jeszcze czekać kilka lat na następcę, niż horda miała by nas uraczyć przeciętniakiem.
Materiał zawarty na sygnowanym logiem rosyjskiej DWP to rasowy Black Metal. Szwedzi postawili zarówno na atmosferę w swoich aranżacjach, a jednocześnie na bezpośredniość. Klimat pojawiający się w tych dźwiękach nie został uzyskany dzięki klawiszom, wręcz przeciwnie – wydobywa się z podstawowego instrumentarium. Jest tu spora dawka śmierci, wyczuwalnego okultyzmu oraz opętania słyszalnego w maniakalnych wokalach. Brzmienie dość czytelne, dalekie od piwnicznego, jednak nie nazwałbym go czystym. Wyraźna szorstkość i piach w gitarach podnoszą tylko poprzeczkę słuchalności 'Likblek’ bez pojawiającego się uśmieszku pożałowania (czego pewnie niejeden z was doświadczył). Riffy gitar to wypadkowa prostoty oraz minimalizmu wymieszanego z melodyjnymi tremolami, chociaż ten termin melodyjności jest użyty przeze mnie w dość naciąganej formie. Pojawiające się sporadycznie chaotyczne sola też robią swoje, nakreślając jakby obszar w jakim LIKBLEK się porusza. Szybkość i tempa są zróżnicowane. Usłyszymy wręcz walcowate utwory jak chociażby 'Graveyard Blasphemers’ albo gęsto zagrany z potężnymi riffami 'It Emerges’. Całość pomimo zróżnicowania trzyma się niesamowicie spójnie, a żaden z utworów nie został stworzony z przysłowiowej dupy. Potęgi opisywanego materiału dopełniają wspomniane już na początku wokale. Jedna barwa głosu, bardzo chropowata w swej charakterystyce, brak udziwnień, a poziom Diabła dzięki tym inkantacjom jest powalający.
LIKBLEK oferuje Black Metal wypełniony po brzegi opętańczą atmosferą, chaotycznością i bezpośredniością. Pojawiające się elementy melodyki nie są w stanie zakłócić tego stanu i wychodzi to Szwedom tylko na plus. Materiał może nie należy do najnowszych, ale ci z was, którzy go do tej pory przegapili -> poszukajcie i wcielać do swoich kolekcji.

It’s been nine years since the Swedes recorded their debut full-length. The previous demo, 'Likblek’, was already a good piece of Black Metal music and the signing with Russian DWP only confirmed it. The debut was released a year after the demo material and unfortunately, silence fell since then. Tough luck. On the other hand, the material that was recorded is at a damn high level, and for all intents and purposes, it’s better to wait a few more years for the successor, than horde would treat us to an average.
The material contained on the signed Russian DWP is a real Black Metal. The Swedes have put emphasis both on the atmosphere in their arrangements and on the directness at the same time. The climate appearing in these sounds has not been obtained thanks to the keyboards, on the contrary – it comes out of the basic instrumentarium. There is a big dose of death, occultism and possession heard in the maniacal vocals. The sound is quite clear, far from being basement-like but I wouldn’t call it clean. The clear harshness and sand in guitars only raise the bar of 'Likblek’ listenability without a smile of regret (which probably many of you have experienced). Guitar riffs are a resultant of simplicity and minimalism mixed with melodic tremolos, although the term melodic is used by me in a rather stretched form. Occasionally appearing chaotic solos also do their job, outlining the area in which LIKBLEK moves. The speed and tempos are varied. We can hear even rolling tracks like 'Graveyard Blasphemers’ or densely played with powerful riffs 'It Emerges’. Despite the diversity, the whole is incredibly coherent and none of the tracks was created out of the proverbial ass. The power of the described material is completed by the already mentioned vocals. One tone of voice, very rough in its characteristics, no eccentricities, and the level of Devil through these incantations is knocking.
LIKBLEK offers Black Metal filled to the brim with a possessive atmosphere, chaotic and direct. Emerging melodic elements are not able to disturb this state and it works out well for the Swedes. The material may not be the latest, but those of you who have missed it so far -> seek it out and add it to your collections.
