Amerykańska formacja uderzyła ponownie już jakiś czas temu. W momencie gdy będziecie to czytać, zapewne albo ich kolejny materiał jest już dostępny, albo będzie w finalnych szlifach. Chociaż jak się zastanowić to może niekoniecznie, bo na ten materiał dane nam było czekać o ile dobrze pamiętam ponad cztery lata. Tak czy inaczej, patrząc przez pryzmat tego co ta horda wypuszcza do chwili obecnej, nie spodziewał bym się po nich słabych strzałów. Tak jest i w przypadku 'Desolate Gods’. Co zaproponowali nam krajanie z krainy McDonalda?
Otóż, mamy ponownie do czynienia ze smolistym, cholernie ciężkim i skomasowanym Death Metalem. Muzyce tej daleko do popisów technicznych, bazuje bowiem na utartych ścieżkach przetartych przez chociażby takie nazwy jak Incantation, Equinox czy Cianide. Sączący się z głośników nieludzki archaizm zachwyca, wręcz uzależnia przy kolejnych odsłuchach tejże płyty. Przyznaję, materiał ten gościł w odtwarzaczu bardzo długo i pomimo olbrzymiej sterty materiałów nabytych do kolekcji, zadomowił się na dobre w moim odtwarzaczu płyt marki Technics. Wokalnie mamy tutaj istny grób, ponura aura, która przytłacza słuchacza jest przygniatająca. Dzieje się tak za sprawą genialnych riffów wspomaganych przez sekcję rytmiczną, a duet ten serwuje ohydę z najwyższej półki (lub najniższej, wybierzcie sami). Powolne tempa mozolnie toczą się mieszając się co rusz z blastującymi partiami. Jednakże te najszybsze momenty 'Desolate Gods’ są głęboko zatopione w piekielnej smole co w efekcie daje wytłumiony efekt tej prędkości. Ależ ta monotonia wokalu tu pasuje! Wgniata jeszcze bardziej słuchacza, a jednocześnie wyciąga materiał na wyższy poziom diabelstwa.
Podsumowując 'Desolate Gods’ – materiał godzien każdego maniaka piekielnego Death Metalu. Absolutny brak progresywno – technicznego smęcenia, nie ma żadnych urozmaiceń, smaczków… To po prostu pieprzony Metal Śmierci.

The American band struck again some time ago. At the moment you’re reading this, probably either their next material is already available, or it will be in final cut. Although, if you think about it maybe not necessarily, as we were given to wait for this material for over four years, if I remember correctly. Anyway, looking from the perspective of what the horde has been releasing so far, I wouldn’t expect weak stuff from them. This is also the case with 'Desolate Gods’. What have the countrymen from the land of McDonald’s offered us?
Well, once again we’re dealing with tarry, heavy and concentrated Death Metal. This music is far from technical show-off, as it is based on the well-worn paths of such names as Incantation, Equinox or Cianide. The inhuman archaism oozing from the speakers delights, even addictive during repeated listens to this album.I admit, this material was in the player for a very long time and despite the huge pile of materials acquired for the collection, it settled in my Technics player for good. Vocally, we have a real grave here, the gloomy aura that overwhelms the listener is overwhelming. This is due to the brilliant riffs supported by the rhythm section, and this duo serves an abomination from the highest (or lowest, choose by yourself) shelf. Slow tempos roll by, mixing with blasting parts every now and then. However, the fastest moments of 'Desolate Gods’ are deeply immersed in the pitch of hell, which results in a dampened effect of this speed. But the monotony of the vocals fits here! It squashes the listener even more, while taking the material to a higher level of devilishness.
To sum up 'Desolate Gods’ – material worthy of every Death Metal maniac. Absolutely no progressive-technical whining, no variety, no flavours… This is simply fucking Death Metal.
